| Chris Colgan
Chris Colgan is a rising star in the alternative
field and has been featured in numerous
magazines and newspapers including Time
Out, Spirit & Destiny, The Mail on Sunday,
Here's Health, The Times and The Guardian.
He is also in discussions re TV work and
is about to launch his own website.
Chris has been a Reiki
Master since 1998 and regularly teaches
Reiki and other energy healing processes.
He runs meditation classes, Life Purpose
and Space Clearing workshops and also offers
one-to-one healing and empowerment sessions
- but it is his innovative work "space
clearing" people's homes and workplaces
that has caught the interest of the media.
He says: "I am passionate
about working with the energy in people's
homes and workplaces, helping them to identify
and change things around them that are responsible
for holding them back. I am convinced that
buildings and possessions act like hard
drives in computers by storing an energetic
imprint of past events and of connections
that we have had with people in our lives."
Chris comes to the alternative field bringing
with him 20 years business experience and
a proven track record in the corporate world.
Before launching his current business he
was Director of Customer Relationship Management
for an international telecommunications
and internet services provider. His practical
business background means he brings with
him a level-headed, no-nonsense approach
to the work he now does which in many ways
separates him from the 'New Age' crowd.
His work draws on a number of spiritual
influences but is firmly grounded in common
sense.
In December 2000 Chris
went on a spiritual trip to Sedona in the
Arizona desert, USA, lead by best-selling
author Caroline Reynolds and was so inspired
that on his return he resigned from his
corporate job, giving up a six-figure salary
to follow his passion. He felt drawn to
start his own business and to work with
people on a much deeper level. By April
2001 he was back in Arizona to do a vision
quest, a native rite of passage, which involves
spending two days and one night alone in
the desert, in a stone-circle with only
a sleeping bag, a journal and water. A week
later he started assisting Caroline Reynolds
in leading vision quest groups in Sedona
and by the following May he was running
his own. He began by leading a men only
vision quest, which included hiring Harley
Davidson motorcycles and riding to the Grand
Canyon. The vision quest is a fast-track
life-changing experience and a regular part
of Chris's work.
Chris is 41 years old and
has a nine-year-old son. He lives in Croydon,
Surrey but his work takes him all over the
UK and to the USA.
