Reiki 2 Certification

After your Level 2 attunement day you are now ‘officially’ a Reiki 2 healer, however it is from this moment on that the learning really begins. It is important to use the basics that you have learned and to keep in touch with other Reiki practitioners in order to develop yourself and your newly rediscovered abilities.

With Level 1 your certificate would have been given to you at the end of the training day, but with Level 2 there are some things you will need to do in order to earn your certificate. Because Level 2 is much more involved and complex than Level 1, most of the learning occurs when you are actually using the symbols whilst healing other people and also from getting their feedback at the end of each session.

To earn your certificate you will need carry out and also receive the following healings as advised, write up detailed case study notes on each one and then send them to me for assessment.

Give four full-body. During each healing you will have used some or all of the symbols. (you must charge for one of these sessions)

Send four distant healings. Getting feedback from the recipients to note with your own comments and recording everything you felt and picked up

Receive four healings from other Reiki healers who are Level 2 or above and fully document your own experience both during and after the treatments. (you need to pay for 2 of these treatments and it should be with people who regularly charge for Reiki healing).

In order to get the best possible results for yourself from going through this process it is important to use different people for each of the case studies. When doing the hands-on healings you must scan each person on the 3 different levels using each of the symbols, writing down everything that you pick up on each level. If you are picking up issues on physical parts of the body or chakras, or are seeing or feeling colours you will need to find out the meaning of each separate thing you find. This is really important, if you want to do the best you can for your ‘clients’ when using Reiki.

Telling someone you see a colour is not of much use unless you can put some kind of meaning to the colour! You also need to write down what you felt during and after each session and it is important to get as much feedback as you can from each person. Have them describe anything they felt or became aware of and add that to your case study notes.

The purpose of this process is to build your experience, increase your confidence and increase your effectiveness as a Reiki practitioner.

Reiki is a tool for healing self and others and it is important early on to be the recipient of the energy and the benefits of it yourself. It is also very beneficial to try to keep in touch with a support network of like-minded people with whom you will be able to share your experiences and your development. Experience has shown that people who have this support develop and progress at a much faster pace than those who try to do it on their own.

If you need any advice either in advance of giving healing or after a session please call or email me and I will try to help wherever possible. When you have completed your case studies please send them to me
